Strengthening Our Catholic Faith

The two kiosks in the foyer of the Church near the front door contain many inspiring Catholic CDs and brochures (in English and Spanish) that can be purchased for only $3 per CD and 50 cents per brochure. We have received several new CDs with such titles as "The Seven Last Sayings of Christ," Seven Deadly Sins/Seven Lively Virtues," "The Saving Power of Divine Mercy," and "Building Better Families."

Many of you have already purchased these wonderful materials to improve your knowledge and understanding of our Catholic Faith, and we hope more of you will do so. There are many additional titles available, so please let us know if there is a subject that you would like to have addressed. You may speak to one of the Priests about this or to Mr. Jim Drummey during the week.

SPECIAL MASS REMEMBERING

JHON PAUL II - APRIL 5, 2010

On Monday, April 5, 2010 at the 8:00 AM Mass, we are going to honor the memory of our dearly beloved deceased Holy Father, John Paul II and pray for his beatification. Please, cut this prayer and say it often so that He may soon be elevated and numbered among the Saints of God:

"O Blessed Trinity, we thank you for having graced the church with Pope John Paul II and for allowing the tenderness of your fatherly care, the glory of the cross of Christ, and the splendor of the Holy Spirit, to shine through him.
"Trusting fully in your infinite mercy and in the maternal intercession of Mary, he has given us a living image of Jesus the Good Shepherd, and has shown us that holiness is the necessary measure of ordinary Christian life and is the way of achieving eternal communion with you.
"Grant us, by his intercession, and according to your will, the graces we implore, hoping that he will soon be numbered among your saints. Amen."

Women's Rosary Breakfast ‑ You are invited to join women from around the Archdiocese for a morning full of hope and inspiration on Saturday, April 24th, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Anne's Parish Center, 130 Boston Turnpike Road, Shrewsbury. Divine Mercy Sunday on April 11th

Next Sunday, April 11th, is Divine Mercy Sunday, when Catholics throughout the world who are in the state of grace can receive total forgiveness of all punishment attached to sin. All you have to do is to participate in the Divine Mercy devotion at 3:00 on Sunday. In order to receive this incredible grace, one has to make a good confession or be in the state of grace, receive Holy Communion the day of the Feast, trust in God's mercy and perform works of mercy. Many souls honor this Feast by participating in the Devotions of Divine Mercy Sunday: this involves praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet, taking part in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and reciting the Litany of Mercy.

There are two places where you can join in this wonderful devotion: the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston, where Cardinal O'Malley will lead the prayers, and St. Stanislaus Church, 163 Chestnut Street, Chelsea. The service in both places will begin at 3:00 p.m. All are welcome.

Birthright of Framingham Open House ‑ You are invited to an Open House at the new offices of Birthright of Framingham at 79A Main Street in Framingham, just off Route 9, on Saturday, April 10th, from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Please stop by for a morning of thanksgiving and celebration for the unborn babies whose lives have been saved through the prayers, sacrifices, and dedication of the Birthright volunteers, as well as your continued support.
