AGING WELL:: Adult Day Health Center.
Aging Well is dedicated to providing care for elderly and disabled adults who
require supervision during the day. For your loved ones it's a chance to be
more active in a comfortable environment with trained medical staff on hand.
For you, it's an opportunity to find support. Adult day health programs have
been known to help the elderly and disabled remain in touch with their
community. As a result, these programs can prevent or postpone hospitalization
and delay the need for nursing home care.
Our friendly and
caring staff members administer services based on physicians' orders. Each plan
is individualized depending on the needs of your loved one and is designated to
promote both physical and mental health.
We will have a Parish presentation of this
program after the 4:00 9:00 and 11:00 Masses on March 6 & 7.
Then
from the cloud came a voice that said, "This is my chosen Son; listen to
him." After the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. They fell silent
and did not at that time tell anyone what they had seen. - Lk 9:35-36

Request from St. Vincent de Paul Society
|
The Saint Vincent de Paul Society recommends during Lent:
Don't give up something: give something! We ask for your assistance each
weekend with donations of food for our
pantry. Our supplies are low. We do have plenty of beans, soups,
vegetables, & tuna. We are in need
of jello, puddings, cake or brownie mixes, pie fillings, tea, hot chocolate,
coffee, peanut butter, jams or jellies, canned fruit, pasta, rice, microwave
popcorn, cookies, nuts, & candies; a grocery
store gift card or cash to the society to assist the needy. Thank you!

Donations for
Easter Flowers and Decorations – You may remember your loved ones in the season of Easter by placing
their names in one of the envelopes that you will find at the entrance of each door
in the Church, marked “Easter Flowers,” along with your donation. Please PRINT
CLEARLY the names of your loved ones. We will publish their names in a
future bulletin.

As part of our faith community's Lenten observance, we will participate in Catholic Relief Services' Lenten program, Operation Rice Bowl. Since 1975, Operation Rice Bowl has inspired Catholics in the United States to pray, fast learn and give as we increase our understanding of our global community. We will connect this understanding with the principles of Catholic social Teaching throughout our Lenten journey. We encourage you to participate in Operation Rice Bowl at home with your family and loved ones.

2010 CATHOLIC APPEAL : Archdiocese of Boston
The weekend of March 6 & 7 will be Catholic Appeal Weekend here at Saint Stephen. Cardinal Seán is asking every Catholic household to participate in the 2010 Catholic Appeal, which founds the many central ministries and services of the Archdiocese of Boston. The Catholic Appeal is to our Archdiocese what the weekly offertory is to our Parish -so your participation and support is critical. Because of the current economic climate, the need for the ministries supported by the Catholic Appeal has increased, making support for the appeal more urgent than ever. On Appeal Weekend we will be listening to a tape message from our Cardinal asking every Catholic household to make a pledge. Please begin to prayerfully consider how you will participate. Every gift matters!
